See Our ScheduleInfant Swimming Resource (ISR) is the safest and most effective provider of survival swimming lessons worldwide. Founded in 1966, ISR has over 50 years of research and development, teaching critical self-rescue skills to children ages 6 months to 6 years old.
ISR teaches the swim-float-swim survival sequence. Children learn to swim with their head down, roll onto their back to float and breathe, then continue swimming until they reach safety.
Every lesson is one-on-one, tailored to your child's skill level and developmental stage. We believe your child deserves our undivided attention for the safest, most effective learning experience.
Short 10-minute daily lessons, 5 days a week for 6-8 weeks. This intensive approach builds muscle memory and ensures skill retention through consistent practice.
Babies 6-12 months learn the rollback-to-float sequence, while children 1+ years learn the complete swim-float-swim sequence. Each program is designed for your child's developmental stage.
ISR has numerous safety protocols and the highest safety standards in the industry. Over 19 million lessons delivered with a proven track record of success.
All ISR instructors undergo extensive training and certification. As a certified ISR instructor, I'm committed to providing the safest and most effective survival swimming instruction.
As a father of three children - two girls and a boy - I understand firsthand the importance of water safety. Like many parents, my wife and I have experienced those heart-stopping moments when our kids jumped in the deep end "thinking they could swim." These experiences drove my passion for ISR instruction and my commitment to preventing childhood drowning.
Originally from Texas, I now proudly call West Des Moines home with my family. My wife is a Chiropractor specializing in pediatric and pregnancy chiropractic care and is a native of Carroll, Iowa. Together, we share a deep commitment to children's health, safety, and development.
With multiple years of teaching experience, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to every lesson. My children and I love the water, and through ISR, I'm excited to help other families enjoy water activities with confidence and peace of mind.
I chose to become an ISR certified instructor because I believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn life-saving skills that could one day save their life. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing a child master these critical survival techniques and knowing their family can enjoy water activities with greater safety and confidence.
